Class of 2011...Kind of...

This was the first ever Photography class at S.A.V.A! The stars are; from left to right: Matt Horne, Brooklyn Brown. Katina Goodson, Alex Carranza, Danielle Johnson, Ruby Avila, Jamie Booth and Shanell Mayo. Not pictured, Shalana McDonald.

Have a great winter break and take some cool shots kids!

First Assignment - Rule of Thirds and Asymmetrical Images

Our first assignment was a Rule of Thirds and symmetrical image capturing technique. This shot was taken by Rubi Avila, the concept behind this image was the Rule of Thirds with an emphasis on the ladder.  Rubi also  used an app on her phone to create the effect which brought out the sun light on the top corner! Great job Rubi!

This shot is also an example of Rule of Thirds, shot by Matt Horne at Action Paintball off Jackson Road in Jackson, Ca. This is a prefect example of placing your main subject in one the corners and also diverting your eyes elsewhere in the frame! Way to go Matt!
